JWOWW TALKS NOH8 CAMPAIGN, MARCHING FOR GAY PRIDE + HER UPCOMING WEDDING
We all know Jenni “JWOWW” Farley is passionate about Roger, dogs Bella and Noel and her BFF Snooki. But did ya know she’s also devoted to LGBT rights, marriage equality and ending bullying?! She recently had a great chance to be an activist for all three things with the NOH8 Campaign.
Her photos from the shoot are out today so I chatted with her over the phone to learn more about it all! She was on her way to “Conan” during the phone interview (And Snooki was totally pushing buttons on the phone and giggling in the background! Ha!) Busy schedule or not, JWOWW was happy to talk about NOH8, how others can get involved, and how her engagement to Roger makes marriage equality feel more personal. And would she and Snooks march in a gay pride parade? Most def!
ACT: Why was it important for you to get involved with the NOH8 campaign?
JWOWW: I actually hit them up after a Twitter follower of mine goes, “I know you’re big into anti-bullying. Have you ever thought about doing the NOH8 Campaign photo shoot?” I actually approached them on Twitter. I followed them and they followed me back. I messaged them so I wouldn’t embarrass myself being like, “Hey, you guys want to do a photo shoot with me? I love your cause; I think it’s amazing.” They completely agreed. The first opportunity I got to meet with them, I did. It was a great experience. The story blew up because of human kindness. Don’t hate on your fellow man. It’s very inspirational.
ACT: How can people join you in helping to support marriage equality?
JWOWW: I would go to NOH8 [website]. I would take a stand for it and speak your mind about it.
ACT: We totally think you should march in New York City’s Gay Pride Parade in June. Would you ever do that?!
JWOWW: Oh, I would totally do that! I would make Nicole go with me. She would be down for that as well. Gay pride march? [Snooki squeals in the background] She said she would soooo go.
ACT: Congrats on your engagement! Does the fact you’re engaged make your support for marriage equality feel more personal?
JWOWW: Thank you. Of course. My best friend, Joey, is gay and he was with his boyfriend Eric for seven years. He wanted to get married so bad for like the last four years. Three months before the law was passed, he went to a courthouse for the common law, and I don’t want to say they disrespected him, but they just treated him like another number. It’s my dream for him to have this huge wedding. So now that the law’s passed, I want to go back and be able to do it again for him, kind of like a renewal of the vows, but have a traditional wedding. Because I think everyone, gay, straight, should be able to have that and cherish that and have all the pictures, the family, everything. It’s really important to me.
ACT: Speaking of the wedding, how’s the planning going?
JWOWW: No planning, no planning. I know I want a tight princess cut dress with boobs out and a bachelor/bachelorette party in Vegas.

Snooki: If I was stuck in an island and could only bring three things, what would I bring?
Jenni: Bronzer. Eyelashes. And your new baby.
Snooki: Yeah! I didn’t even really know that question. But that’s right.
Jenni: Hypothetically speaking, since I really don’t know this one, how old was I when I probably had my first kiss?
Snooki: Uhm… well, probably when I did which was 13.
Jenni: I’d say that’s right.
Snooki: Like tongue?
Jenni: Deep throat? Yeah. At 13? Yeah.
Snooki: What is my biggest fear? I have a few.
Jenni: You have a few. You have spiders, you have snakes, you have dark, getting up before noon…
Snooki: Oh, that’s a big fear. Yeah.
Jenni: Sharks!
Snooki: Sharks, yeah, I don’t like them.
Jenni: Whale sperm water.
Snooki: That’s right.
Jenni: Am I a morning person or a night?
Snooki: Uh, it depends. You can be a morning person like when you want to get stuff done but then you can be a night person when you want to have fun and let loose.
Jenni: Perfect!
Snooki: So you’re both.
Jenni: It’s like a bisexual when it comes to the day.
Snooki: What’s - oh, I don’t even know - what’s my guilt pleasure?
Jenni: TV.
Snooki: Yeah. I’d say lounging.
Jenni: Lounging, watching TV.
Snooki: Watching TV, being lazy.
Jenni: Being in your bed, milking it as much as you can.
Snooki: Yeah.
Jenni: What do I do when I feel sad?
Snooki: Uh… when you feel sad, you text me.
Jenni: I do!
Snooki: And I make you better and we go shopping or we go tanning. Do something that makes you laugh. Just something fun.
Jenni: Oh! I think I have another one. If I had one wish granted, what would it be? I just twittered it.
Snooki: To stop bullying?
Jenni: That and..?
Snooki: To stop - to save all the doggies in the world?
Jenni: Uh-hm. Gay marriage.
Snooki: Oh, gay marriage. That’s what it was.
Jenni: Bullying… well, all three, I guess. I need three wishes, those are three wishes. Any genie would give three. Not one.

I don’t know anything about Kim Kardashian except for her very short-lived marriage. Sorry, Kim, but that makes you very uncool in my book. I hope Joey can marry his man someday. :)
Jenni “JWoww” Farley has always supported gay rights \m/
LGBT rights brings people together…
MTV: Yesterday, President Obama backed gay marriage. What was your reactions to that? Where you guys surprised? Where you guys excited?
Snooki: We’re very strong when it comes to the gay community. She has a lot of friends… her best friend is gay. I have a lot of friends who are gay. They need to be equal because they are amazing friends.
Jenni: And I am glad that he did it — you know, better late than never. And he is the first president to come out and say it
Snooki: Good for him.
Jenni: And I am proud of him for doing it. But we just need the laws to change — it’s 2012. It is what it is. I just want to see my best friend get married, and I want to see everyone in every state be able to get married. It’s their choice. It’s not affecting our lives if we choose it or don’t choose it. No gay person is gonna come and affect my life any different and it shouldn’t affect anyone else’s life. So let them be equal. We want them to be able to experience life, and if they want to be miserable and married, let them be miserable and married like us. There’s nothing wrong with it.
Owned.
Jenni: We’re all pro [gay marriage].

Jenni: [Mike’s doing] amazing. Amazing. I haven’t seen him because we were filming when he went in[to rehab] but I have talked to him and everyone who I have talked to about him says he’s so happy. He’s so enlightened, in a sense. He’s like fresh, back to being Mike, just fresh.
